Forgive Your Offender
Learn to forgive your offender. No person is God. Don’t depend on another person to give you happiness. Depend on God to fill you with His joy so that you can dispense His joy in you to others without expecting returns.
Knowing God Devotional is an online daily devotional written by Andrews Baah Kwafo, the president of The Bible Daily Network.
Learn to forgive your offender. No person is God. Don’t depend on another person to give you happiness. Depend on God to fill you with His joy so that you can dispense His joy in you to others without expecting returns.
The work of the ministry is very laborious. It’s not for lazy people. It’s so heavy that one man can’t do everything. We need more labourers, not just new converts, in God’s vineyard.
Where is your heart? What preoccupies your thoughts so much that you can’t go a day without thinking about it, or you don’t care to spend whatever amount of money to see its fruition? That is a question many people refuse to answer intentionally for themselves. But Jesus gave a clue to finding it.
God sees beyond what we do physically. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:2 (NIV) that God weighs the motives of our hearts. So what is secretive before people is plain before God.
Are you eternity conscious? Do you think about how you’ll give account to God one day on what you used your life to do? I think it’s time we preachers remind people that Jesus is coming soon.
What do you do with your money? Do you spend as if there’s no tomorrow so as to save today? Many people end up in debt not because they don’t have money but because they’ve not learnt how to steward their funds as God directed us to do in the scriptures. The Bible teaches about savings and multiple investments (Ecclesiastes 11:1, Proverbs 21:20). So God isn’t silent on how we must use our finances. What do you know?
If you’re born again, you’re the light of the world because Christ is in you (Matthew 5:4). That means, wherever you go, you must bring light to people sitting in darkness and enslaved by sinful desires.
Don’t carry bad intentions about your fellow brother in Christ, and claim to love him wholeheartedly. If you do, it’s not love but rather hypocrisy. Love people as Christ love them.
God is love and wants every part of your life to express Christ. His Word is your life manual. Treasure it. Read. Study and meditate upon it. You’ll see that it’ll be easy for the Holy Spirit to remind you (give you rhÄ“ma) anytime you need the Word to choose what you have to do.
Are you born again? If yes, you are redeemed by the blood of Christ. You’ll never lose your salvation because Jesus’ blood still speaks for you today. Instead of thinking about the next sin you’ll do, think about His grace to enable you to live unto Him. Then, you’ll live a fulfilled and condemnation-free life.
There’s no doubt that any child of God who’s consistent with ministry experiences spiritual growth. But that’s not the finality. In fact, that should be the starting point and source from which other forms of prosperity, such as financial prosperity and improvement in healthy relationships, spring. Why? Because getting access to God’s Word increases your divine wisdom to handle other aspects of your life well.
Dear Minister, don’t stay in your comfort zone. Don’t just pray and study the Word. Move out to win souls unto the Lord. Continue preaching Christ through every possible medium, physically and technologically. People must get saved. Do the work of an evangelist.
