Did you know that Jesus doesn’t measure your offering first by the size you give? Yes, He checks your heart first, not the size. But is giving vast amounts of money good? Of course, it is because it helps run several ministries. I have been a minister for over eight years (at the time of this writing), and I can’t overemphasise how important finance is in ministry.
Jesus said in Mark 4:30-42 that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed which, when sown on the ground, grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade. Guess what that means? God’s kingdom in you through Christ (see Luke 17:21) has the capacity to expand you so large that others can be dependent on you.
It’s not every spouse who lacks self-control when it comes to sex, although some do. But to be on the safer side, if you are a Christian and married, make sex a priority in your marriage. Do not deprive your spouse of sexual intimacy without mutual agreement between you two.
God frowns on sexual immorality, so He honours marriage. But He also knows humans are stubborn creatures who like breaching His laws, some for reason of comfort. That is why He charges people in some areas of life to do the right thing or face the consequences. Dear one, your body is God’s temple. Respect God enough to preserve it in purity.
In James 1:14-15, the Bible says temptation comes before sin. Those temptations are driven by one’s own desires (some of which may be demonically orchestrated). But without shutting down those desires, they entice you to commit that evil. And when you keep submitting to those bad desires, they grow till God eventually judges you with death.
I want to ask you, who is Jesus to you personally? Is He the One your pastor has been preaching about, or the One you’ve encountered in your aloneness with Him? If you don’t know Jesus by revelation, it’s time to step up and pursue a deeper intimacy with Him.
In the previous times (before Jesus came to Earth), God spoke through the prophets. But in this New Testament era, His current language is Jesus.
When God begins to handle your publicity, you won’t need to spend anything to advertise yourself. In fact, God is the One who begins to direct people to you without you even requesting them. That is what Zechariah prophesied about in Zechariah 8:23.
Despite all the evil things happening in the world today, Micah 7:8 provides an encouraging Word to every believer who feels people are anticipating their downfall.
Can I counsel you, dear team member of a company or ministry? If you have an attitude that will lead you to do bad things against your boss or senior pastor, it’s better you put it aside rather than follow through to jeopardise your life.
Accent synchrony develops the moment people begin to do something together. It’s in churches, marriages, friendships, and even some workplaces. It is normal (and even beneficial), and there’s nothing wrong with it. But just as it can happen in good places, it also occurs in bad places.
If you are a servant of God and don’t know God in your secrecy, you’ll not be an accurate minister of the gospel. That goes especially to prophets. Sometimes, the reason why some of them get some prophecies wrong is not because they are fake; it’s just an exposure to a lack of deeper intimacy with the Father. Don’t let that be your case.
