Can you extend your depth of love to another fellow? That person doesn’t have to act right before he deserves your love. If you wait for people to start behaving well before you love them, you are going to find faults and multiple reasons not to do so. But God’s love has no loopholes.
Dear one, weep not when a faithful servant of God passes on. It may be sad to hear that on the news or even see it happen in your family. But meditate on the legacy that person has left behind and multiply it to impact many more people. Why do I say that? Because the Word of God never grows old.
David said in Psalm 113:2, “Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.” He was called a man after God’s heart, not because he wanted something from God but because he adored God all his life. Yes, it’s difficult to live like David in this modern generation full of distractions. But maintaining our focus on God is key.
You are God’s righteousness in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). So, you are the one who cannot be shaken because your life is anchored and hidden with Christ in God (see Colossians 3:2). However, to enjoy the full benefits of this provision in Christ, you must walk in that consciousness (or be presentminded in the truth of God’s Word concerning your life).
People are living good lives, and some are having difficulties. If you feel that things have been late in your life, God has got you covered. He will come through for you. However, you must take steps to improve as you receive it from the Lord in prayer.
When David said, commit your way to the Lord, he meant that whatever you do, put the God factor in it. In other words, do not think everything and anything will work for your good just because you did it. You need God.
As a Christian, don’t make your pastor solely responsible for your discipleship. Set up systems and structures in your life that will allow you to spend a lot of quality time with the Lord. As you grow, you’ll get busier. So, start early, and it’ll help you in your faith journey.
As you grow in this life, remember that you must have a forward-looking mentality in Christ, regardless of the seasonal changes you may encounter. Learn to be adaptive to changes. Be faithful to God for what He has called you to do, irrespective of the issues you face. It can only get better with you, so hope in the Lord.
Whatever God has called you to do, you will not get it easy. There are hurdles that you need to overcome, challenges to confront, and a lot of behind-the-scenes responsibilities that you must take charge of. If you see any ministry, business or institution blossoming out there, I can tell you that people sacrificed a lot of time to build it.
How you respond to situations is crucial. If you weep so much about the issue, that won’t solve it. But when you find comfort in God and ask for His direction in approaching the solution, that is what will make the difference. You are allowed to weep when you face a challenge, but don’t let it get you so much that you don’t rise and take action.
God will lead you in the paths of righteousness, but not when you’ve not surrendered to His will. When you follow God, He won’t lead you to do things normally like everyone does. No! He is a great God, and His ways are past finding out. Stick to what His Word has said concerning your life, and don’t grumble about His leadership directions in your life.
Paul said in Philippians 3:7 that all the things that were gains to him, including his certificates, knowledge about the law and all that, have been counted as a loss in his life so he can gain Christ. That means that if anybody wants to know God more, there is a price to pay. There are things you must lose hold of if you want to get to the fullness of your calling.
