Not all life problems are related to money, directly or indirectly. But generally speaking, being content with all that God has provided for you as you hope for better days ahead helps you to be patient in life.
Salvation will always be by grace through faith (see Ephesians 2:8), not by works. However, to get the most out of God’s salvation that you have as His gift, you need to be ready to probe deeper into it, primarily through walking in divine obedience as you pursue a deeper intimacy with Jesus.
Conceit is a term that means excessive pride in oneself. So, yes, some people do things in this life not because they need to but because they are too proud of what they know or the skills they have, and they think they are the best in the world for that. It can be manifested in talents, sporting competitions, or even ministerial roles. But as believers, we are not supposed to do anything with that motive behind it. And that is serious.
God wants you to let your love abound more in divine knowledge and depth of insight. In other words, he doesn’t want you just to love Him and people but also to grow in knowledge and insight of how to do it. When you understand how God’s kind of love works, it’ll separate you from how the world sees love. You’ll live more and more like Jesus, even in a perverse and crooked generation full of evil.
Is there something you are eagerly waiting for God to do? He may have delayed reaching such a need on your own terms. But He is never late. He is always right on time. His thoughts for you are for good and will never be evil. Trust Him, and most importantly, fellowship with Him so you can discern His next steps in your life.
God has prepared great things for those who love Him and walk according to His ways. But to see those things, you cannot view them by searching online. You only get them by consulting the Holy Spirit. Why? Because the Spirit searches all things, including the deep things of God, for you.
Don’t think walking with God makes you disadvantaged despite your afflictions. It is not so and will never be so. His wisdom will glorify you on the path of life as you follow Him. He has never failed anyone, and you are not the first on that line to break His record.
No matter who you are in God’s kingdom, ensure that you don’t let your faith rest in human wisdom. As a preacher or leader of a church or ministry, let your central goal be to present people to God blameless, not to amass wealth or even make a name for yourself.
Don’t think you are that strong or intelligent, even if you have made millions. People can honour you because of your position in society, but God is no respecter of persons (see Acts 10:34). He can bring you very low in seconds. So be careful of what you say. Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.
God still chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He is still in the business of making people extremely wealthy with small business ideas people disregard. And I must say that is one of the reasons why He gives humble beginnings to visionaries. Why? In their formative stages, people will disregard what they carry as God strengthens them to build up gradually until it becomes huge. Don’t give up!
God still chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He is still in the business of turning people rejected by society into sought-after people by the world for His glory. Do you feel disadvantaged in life? If yes, then be assured that you are part of God’s plan to lift you up. So, don’t give up on yourself. Only remain humble under His mighty hand.
Dear preacher, you may not agree with everything your colleague in ministry preaches. But aim for unity with him, not uniformity. All may not wear the same colours, but Christ must be exalted above all our differences.
God’s weakness is tied to Jesus allowing Himself to be crucified on the cross for humanity’s atonement for sin. That weakness (one-time event), the Bible says, is even stronger than human strength. So, just because Jesus laid down His life in a weaker state of His body doesn’t mean that he was weak. In essence, that crucifixion He went through is stronger than human strength, making nobody ever match Jesus’ spiritual capacity to go through that suffering.
As a minister of the gospel, know that God sent you mainly to preach the gospel, not to be so involved with numerous religious activities. Baptising people, conducting church weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, etc., are all essential for people. But preaching the gospel should be the central goal of your ministry.
You, a child of God, have a definite role to play in the body of Christ. Maybe, from the start of your faith journey, you might not know. But as you mature in the Lord, you need to discover it. That will help shape your life, enabling you to make meaningful contributions to the global Church.
What comes to mind when you think about “true worship”? For many, it’s more about singing slow-tune songs that end up adoring the Maker. That is good. But what if I told you that the definition of true worship has nothing to do with songs?
Dear preacher, when you go out there to preach the message of salvation for people to be saved, don’t neglect to highlight the importance of believing in the resurrection of Christ for the unbelievers in your audience. It is crucial and serves as the bedrock of the faith in Christ (see 1 Corinthians 15:17).
There are certain choices God made for you before bringing you into the world. You didn’t choose your parents, nationality (of birth), skin colour, and other fundamental background realities. So, instead of blaming God for such choices, accept them and live to pursue the fullness of your destiny in God.
