Ways to follow
Knowing God Devotional is an online daily devotional written by Andrews Baah Kwafo, the president of The Bible Daily Network.
Avoid following popular opinions of people to do things God has not told you to do. Finding direction in life is not about following the trend but the voice of God.
Don’t let another believer’s dissimilar attitude destroy your countenance at times. Sometimes, God wants to teach you great things through the behaviours of such people and several life encounters whenever they are around.
Let another man praise you for what you have or do, and not yourself. Be so focused on fulfilling your divine mandate that you’ll care less about your possessions. And the faithful God will never cease unleashing you to higher realms of glory.
Whether the people God has given you obey the Word you preach or not, just keep preaching. Their lives will be cleansed by the same Word. Sow into the kingdom without looking at what men say. The Lord is faithful to His Word.
Sometimes, you’ll not get a specific father in Christ to build you up, but through one notable encounter and consistent fellowship with the Lord, you’ll become a firebrand minister. For every child of God like that, I pray for the grace to start and finish strong in the Lord’s work.
Child of God, don’t follow what the worldly people say about life. Try this; try that. No! Live by the structures and systems God has helped you to build around you life based on you revelation of God’s Word.
The root meaning of life is not about what you have; it’s about how deeply you know God. And from that, your fruitfulness in the natural will be meaningful.
Look at the life of Jesus! He was (and is still king) of the entire universe. But when people insulted Him, He didn’t revile back (1 Peter 2:23). He was so quiet before Pilate that Pilate himself marvelled (see Mark 15:3-4). Besides knowing that He ought to die and save all humanity, Jesus knew that boasting before Pilate was not wise. Learn from this!
As a minister, when you pray about something or for someone, don’t concern yourself with the time the Lord does His work or be overly expectant to see immediate changes, except for healing (according to your faith). Just do God’s work and move on. The Lord will manifest Himself at His own time.
Let the Lord Jesus guide you to make great prayer requests that’ll displace you from living in comfort to living with trans-generational impact hands-on and in mind.
The more people you serve, the greater you become in Christ.
Dear believer, you’re not of the world. If unbelievers accept divorce, stick to God’s principle of permanent marriage covenant.
