[5] “Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.” – Psalms 37:5 (NKJV)
What comes to mind when you read scripture that says, “Commit your way to the Lord”? Yeah, some people freak out hearing that. You may say, “Am I supposed to let God tell me to do every little thing in a way that I can’t even do something of my own”? Oh no. That’s not what scripture means by saying that.
When David said, Commit your way to the Lord, he meant that whatever you do, put the God factor in it. In other words, do not think everything and anything will work for your good just because you did it. You need God.
If not, I know many people with several ideas for accomplishing big things. Sometimes, it’s ministry-wise. Other times, it can be business-wise, relationship-wise, etc. But many don’t see those dreams come to pass because they try figuring out all that there is to make those things work without seeing results. Can I tell you something? Since God is the One that made you, He is your source. Therefore, as the plant can neither survive nor thrive without being connected to the soil for nourishment, you cannot do much in this life without God. Acknowledge Him in all your ways.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for establishing my path in You. Help me to live well unto Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
