The Righteous Will Never be Shaken

[6] “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.” – Psalms 112:6 (NIV)

What does the captain do when a ship is on the sea and the waves start becoming more tempestuous? He orders the navy officers to release the anchor in the sea. For what purpose? So that the ship can be stable. In the same way, the anchorage of your life is crucial to consider if you want to live a life of peace and security in Christ. Why? Because a lot of things will happen that will shake you to the core.

Do you feel terrible in your life because of some threats you received from people? Yes, sometimes these things happen, especially after you’ve had a fight with other people. But when your life is anchored in Christ, you won’t be shaken. Why? Because it is written in Psalm 112:6 that the righteous will never be shaken.

You are God’s righteousness in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). So, you are the one who cannot be shaken because your life is anchored and hidden with Christ in God (see Colossians 3:2). However, to enjoy the full benefits of this provision in Christ, you must walk in that consciousness (or be presentminded in the truth of God’s Word concerning your life). Don’t lose hold of the eternal life you have. It is well with you.
