In a world where strength often means physical power, it’s essential to know that true empowerment is far more profound than muscle strength. Just like a child can’t lift weights, we can’t handle life alone. We need Jesus. Taking inspiration from Philippians 4:12-13, let’s explore how to achieve all things through Christ’s strength.
Living within your means
Living within our means implies being honest in our living conditions and not letting society pressure us into fakeness. Remembering God’s promise to provide, we must stay true to His plan. Even though He has a great plan for each of us, only He knows how to bring them to pass in our lives.
Don’t fake your life to please others. Once God has provided what you need today, He’ll give you the grace to meet tomorrow’s needs. In Christ, there’s progress. So live, aiming to please Him in all your ways. In that way, you’ll be content and also find joy, whether you have little or lots.
Be strengthened through prayer
Prayer is a powerful tool for tapping into divine strength and guidance. By praying regularly, we grow closer to God and receive fresh insights and empowerment. So, through consistent prayer, God sustains us and fuels our passion for spiritual growth and connection with Him.
I always say this: “Just as we charge our smartphones so that we use applications effectively, we must also charge ourselves spiritually through prayer so that we will function very well in our godly way of living.”
There are so many dormant gifts within you. God stirs them in you through prayer and work. If you’re feeling too weak to do God’s work, leave everything and pray for a while. The strength to do it will come back.
Remain close to God
Remaining near to God is essential for success in both ministry and life. By prioritising spiritual growth and nurturing our relationship with Him, we unlock abundant divine strength and wisdom for practical functionality. When we maintain this connection, we face challenges with unwavering confidence, understanding that God’s strength is most evident in our moments of weakness and weariness.
Moreover, staying close to God empowers us to live purposefully, guided by divine wisdom and direction. It enables us to navigate life’s complexities gracefully, ensuring that we fulfil our calling with confidence and conviction.
