[11] “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Do you believe God has good plans for you? Maybe yes, maybe not. If it’s a “yes,” that’s right believing. But on what does your faith stand? Is it found in how you’ve seen God elevate someone from a low position to a person of top influence in a few years? Or according to what His Word says.
God is faithful to His Word. So what justifies the truth that He’ll do what He says isn’t the testimonies of people but His integrity. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says He has plans to prosper you and give you a future. He may have said it to some Israelites in the Old Testament. But that promise is much alive for you today because His Word never fails.
Probably you are yet to complete a university education, and you don’t know how God will give you a job. But can you find rest in His arms today, knowing that He has good plans for you? He has secured your future, so you don’t need to worry about your life.
Be mindful of God. Keep serving Him wherever you find yourself. He who has begun a good work in your life, both internally (pertaining to spiritual transformation) and externally (a glorious life of purpose), won’t fail to see its progression (Philippians 1:6). Fret not. He will perform His counsel.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for assuring me in Your Word that You have good plans for me. I resist every spirit of doubt about how my life will turn out in this uncertain world. Let Your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
