[28] “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 (NIV)
Many people battle weariness every day, no matter how much time they take to rest. Most of this stress is caused by fatigue at work, which is more common in the lives of many business executives. But did God call us to live weary? No!
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 that those who are weary and burdened (heavy laden) should come so He can give them rest. If you fall into that category of people, then Jesus is the solution to your weariness. Once Jesus promises you rest, you can be assured that you will be refreshed within your soul when you come and fellowship in His presence. And this is another reason why no matter how busy you are, you shouldn’t skip going to church, if not at all, at least on Sundays.
Your tiredness and weariness in life have a cure. You don’t have to live accustomed to it. Life will not get any less busy for you, so the earlier you take precautions to enjoy God in His presence for your spiritual renewal and refreshment, the better. Don’t be so focused on chasing money that you leave God aside.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving me rest. Help me to enjoy Your presence in my life more. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
