Be Patient in Affliction

[12] “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” – Romans 12:12 (NIV)

Affliction is something nobody enjoys going through in life. In fact, there are people who have died when they were battling with affliction in life. They couldn’t stand it. Other people too have battles with high blood pressure because of overthinking. Dear believer, God doesn’t want you to go through that.

In Romans 12:12, we are admonished to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. Think about these three things. Do you know that living with these words in mind will help you to enjoy divine peace every single day?

When you are going through tough times, remember that nothing is too hard for God. In other words, your patience in affliction as you faithfully pray about your situation signals God to step into it. No wonder Philippians 4:6-7 says that after you’ve let your request be made known to God in prayer, He will fill your heart and mind with His peace.

Always pay premium attention to living in peace. Resort to prayer when circumstances try to bully your mind. God will respond to your case.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your peace in my life. Help me to be patient in affliction and always live dependent on You for provision. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
