Retain The Peace of God In You

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” — Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Everybody’s life is driven by something. Some by materialism. Some by the quest for people’s approval. Others also live to prove to others that they aren’t living by low standards. But there’s still one more common factor that drives many people’s lives. It’s called guilt. The devil capitalises on the awful past of many people to inflict their minds with guilt.

I quite remember someone who came to me complaining about how bad he used his time years ago and is now facing harmful consequences because of his past mistakes. As I spoke to him and gave him new spiritual keys to use in order to begin having a glorious life, he got healed within, not only because of what I told him but also because of the freedom Christ gave in his heart and mind as I preached the Word.

You see, Jesus didn’t take away His peace with Him when He ascended to heaven. He said in John 14:27 that “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you…”. He gave us His peace. That means every believer has the peace of Christ in him. But it’s one thing to have peace in you and yet another to retain the peace of God in you.

According to Isaiah 26:3, the Bible tells us that God will keep anyone in not just any peace, but perfect peace of he whose mind is stayed on Him. Why? Because the person trusted in God.

You don’t add a single second to your life by worrying. Yes, life has ups and downs. Yes, there are days you’ll be happier than others. But you must be conscious of trusting God. When the issues of life come, face them with the anointing of God in you. Don’t allow your situation to put your face downcast.

Trust God and His promises so much that the unbeliever won’t understand you. Retain the peace of God in you by meditating on His Word. One thing I know, and that is that God will never forsake me. Live by this promise also not because I know it, but because Jesus said it in Matthew 28:20.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that You’ll provide spiritual resources through Your Word, Holy Spirit and ministers that’ll always draw my attention to You in consistent spiritual fellowship. Amen!
