Peace Be Still – Confronting Situations with Divine Power

God often gives big dreams, but it can feel like you do not have the resources or means to make them happen. That challenge can create problems in life you never thought of. In those moments, what do you do? You confront them! That’s the purpose of this article – to teach you how to do it.

Hear God

In the ups and downs of life, it is essential to listen to God’s guidance. Jesus, in His wisdom, instructed the twelve apostles to move to the other side of the sea before the storm emerged (see Matthew 14:22). That underscores the importance of hearing God in order to discern the direction of your life. Confusion and distractions get cleared off when you actively seek divine guidance in any situation you find yourself in so you can follow suit.

Arising situations indicate the right path

Also, challenges and storms in your life are not always signs of deviation from God’s plan for your life. Instead, they often indicate that you are on the road to where He is taking you. David was in the forest, not knowing he would end up defeating Goliath and even becoming the king of Israel. Also, Joseph went through a lot of situations before he became the prime minister. God prepares us for higher heights through unexplainable situations. Hence, they are not distractions to our faith journey.

David saw Goliath as one of the lions he defeated in the wilderness when they came to attack his father’s sheep. And, yes, he defeated Goliath. He had the experience in the forest. So what he went through was a period of preparation. The storm the disciples faced on the sea showed they were moving in the direction Jesus told them to go.

When you face difficulties, call on Jesus and let His Word calm your heart.

Be encouraged not to give up when life gets tough. See challenges as confirmation that you are on the right track toward your route to destiny. And remember that God is with you.

Deal with situations in prayer

When life gets tough, prayer is your most powerful tool. Prayers made will make you strong in situations. As the disciples woke up Jesus when they could not handle the storm, acknowledge His power over the storms you face and pray.

Making prayer the first response when confronted with situations triggers intervention. The words “Peace be still,” uttered by Jesus, carry changing power. Embracing this phrase in prayer becomes a declaration of faith, calming the storms that threaten to overwhelm you.

Listen to God, see challenges as signs of being on the right track, and pray with faith. When you face difficulties, call on Jesus and let His Word calm your heart. He will beautify your life.
