[1] “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” – Romans 5:1 (NKJV)
How does it feel to be at loggerheads with your boss at work? Your job security will be at stake. Right? But after all, your boss is not God, and even when you lose it, you can still get another one. Isn’t it? But what about God? He is the Almighty One. But a time came when mankind didn’t have peace with Him because of sin. Thanks to Jesus dying on the cross to atone for our sins, that enmity between God and man is no longer there. The problem is that people don’t know the truth.
What if I tell you that the one you are afraid to approach because of something wrong you did actually long for you to come to him? That is God’s case now with humanity. Because Jesus has paid for your sin, you have peace with God. What the Almighty held against you has been borne by Christ on the cross. So you are justified.
Maybe you are thinking that God is angry with you for what you’ve done for years. Let me tell you that having such fear in you won’t solve your problem, no matter how long you hold on to it. As a matter of fact, it is the devil that seeks to keep people bound in sin so that they will not come into contact with the freedom Jesus gives. That is why he influences people, through demons, not to go to church, live committed to God’s ways and even pray. Don’t be deceived. God wants you to surrender every area of your life unto Him. Do that every day.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for justifying me. I now have hope and assurance that when I come to You, You will accept me. Lead and guide me in the way everlasting. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
