Don’t wait for someone to die before offering your best help to the person. No matter how much you value people, they’ll not recognise anything you do for them or their family when they are gone. Letting this consciousness be in you is very powerful for God to use to root out selfishness from your life.
Many times, God will bring people into your life that He has ordained to help you for your entire life. And truthfully, you’ll not recognise their calibre of help to be released in your life until you have a foresight of their future. Failure to discern the divine reason behind people’s presence can make you lose them, only to regret it later in your life.
A servant is never greater than his master. And since you are in Christ, you’re a servant of God. That means you’ll never be greater than Jesus. Hence, you must be intentional about following Him in all your ways.
Jesus likened His relationship with God’s people to a shepherd and sheep. That means, He being the shepherd, is responsible for guiding us through His voice, and providing for our needs, even if it involves dying for us (the sheep). And yes, He did it because He knew we needed salvation, even when we’ve not yet asked Him.
God marked out a race of faith for you before you came into Christ. So in Christ, it’s not just about receiving salvation. It’s about following Him daily, allowing Him to guide you every step. That is godly submission.
As Paul told pastor Timothy to watch both his life and doctrine closely, so I urge you to go and do the same. And by God’s grace, I pray that the Lord will guide you on the right path.
If you have the opportunity to be around a visionary leader, seek to understand his vision before demanding so much of his time. Once you apprehend what God is building through him, you’ll love being his life companion in his work. Stay under His leadership as long as he leads you to Jesus.
So many people live in suffering because they fail to consult God on which way to take and what to do. Life isn’t about try and error. It’s about purpose, and the Holy Spirit is the perfect person to help you navigate this life in the light of God. Come to Jesus. Learn of Him, and cleave to His Word. He’ll not fail you.
What Jesus taught us in Matthew 6 about fasting isn’t just about keeping your face clean during fasting durations. It’s about getting your reward from God for fasting. Jesus doesn’t want you to fast in vain.
You don’t have to let a third party know about your generosity. You don’t have to make a public show of your donations in the media for people’s praise. You only have to do one thing: obey God’s Word by giving rightly.

Jesus knew that the Israelites were told to hate their enemies (although it wasn’t scriptural – check Leviticus 19:18). But to transform their thinking, He taught them that they should, instead, love their enemies and pray for those who persecute them. Why? Because that act exemplifies the unconditional love of God in man.
Now that applies to us today
No Christian is protected from facing troubles in life. However, how we respond when they come will determine whether they’ll break us or God will use them to engraft His word in our lives.
