The Knowledge Of The Truth Will Set You Free

[31] “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. [32] And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:31 - 32 NKJV

One heart desire in many lives is the willingness to be free. Some recognise it; some don’t. But deep within, it’s there.

I once encountered a man who had been bedridden for a long time. As I spoke to him, I sensed in my spirit that he wanted to get up and walk, but he lacked the knowledge of the truth – the Word of God. So because of that, he remained in bed for a long until He encountered Jesus.

There are several people under the control of the devil. They want to stop sinning and committing fornication but just don’t know how. Jesus came to rectify that problem. He’s the solution to every man’s challenges. He’s the only one that sets people free from every guilt and condemnation (John 8:36). Will you come to Him today?

He told the believing Jews not only to believe in Him but also to keep His Word. Then He added that by doing that, they would know the truth, and the truth would set them free.

The Word of God works. But for it to have its full effect on your life, you shouldn’t listen to it and forget. No! You must lay hold on it so firmly, no matter the issues of life.

Maybe you’re trapped in solving a situation one way or the other. Let me encourage you today. Go to God in prayer. Let Him give You His Word to counter the problem, and keep practising and praying about it. It’ll work for you!

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, help me lay hold on Your Word. I understand that the Word works. So I declare war against doubts in mind about Your speakings. I choose to remain strong in faith about Your promises. Amen!
