According to 2 Peter 1:8, if, as a believer, you possess and abound in virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love, you’ll not be barren or unfruitful in the knowledge of Christ. Simply put, you can’t possess these qualities and remain an ordinary Christian. It’s just impossible.

Don’t be a passive churchgoer in Christ. Work on understanding the Word you receive every single time. Don’t just take notes while listening to sermons, only to leave them after service. No! Make time to revise and pray through them. In that way, the devil won’t be able to steal it from your heart.
God has more in store for you. But in most cases, He wants you to listen to Him, study His Word and put what you learn into practice. When you fail to do that, Jesus said your life is like a foolish person who built his life on sand.
God’s plan for you is unique, so living like the masses won’t help you. Devote yourself to prayer and keep following the steps of Jesus.
It’s about time the children of God must desist from working to merely please people and letting money be the ultimate inspiration for what they do, especially in church.
