[1] “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” – Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
As a child of God, one of the significant things you must never forget is that you are on a journey of faith. And in that journey, Jesus is the author and finisher of it. That means Jesus is your destiny, and what He tells you to do is what you do. But with my few years of life in Christ, I have seen several people try hard to carve out some strange goals for their lives, and that destabilises their smooth flow in God’s path. Later on, some of these people’s life conditions grow weaker till they return to where they used to be, having learned a great lesson. Dear one, can I tell you something? Run your race with patience.
As was said in yesterday’s devotional, believing in Jesus is work. That means you are not going to get it easy on this Earth. In fact, there are roadblocks to destiny, and if you are not going anywhere, then you’ll not experience any resistance. That means that problems in your path of fulfilling destiny are a sign that you are on the right path. Glory be to God.
The journey of life is long—talking about day after day, week after week, month after month and years after years. You don’t need to rush to fulfil what God has said about your life in your own time. Yes, I understand that it is good to live the dream. But it takes patience to get there. Wage war on God’s prophecies about your life by prayer as you work. The Lord will perfect everything concerning your life.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your vision upon my life. As I have received from Your Word according to Hebrews 12:1 that I should run my race with patience, so help me, Lord. Amen!
