“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” — Psalms 138:8 NKJV
Has God given you a glimpse of how your future will be through vision? If yes, I suppose you may be comparing your current self to your future self and see a very long distance. I want to encourage you that it’s normal and you don’t need to be afraid.
Here’s something important to note. If God gives you shallow dreams, you wouldn’t need faith to trust Him to take you there. So, a big vision places you in a realm that’ll make you trust God.
The Bible says in Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) that,
“… that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
God is the One who has begun a good work in your life. So if He has given you a purpose, you’re following His plan concerning your life, and things aren’t going well, the best person to turn to isn’t yourself; it’s God. David realised this, and that’s why he prayed Psalm 138:8.
He said the Lord would perfect that which concerns him. I checked the meaning of the word “perfect,” and it means “complete.” So it implies that the same God who told you to start that school, business, ministry or whatever you’re doing on purpose will help you both in good and bad times until Jesus comes again.
I’ve learned something about God’s leadership. If He’s in charge of your mind, you’ll make good decisions.
Fret not when you see challenges opposed to your calling. The Lord will perfect that which concerns you. He will work things out for your good. In all your ways, submit to Him.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, thank You for assuring me that You’ll perfect everything that concerns me (Psalm 138:8). I pray, in the name of Jesus, that I remain undisturbed in any challenge I’m facing right now. I will hope in You and wait on You. Lead and guide me in the way everlasting. Amen!
