By[10] “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” – Philippians 1:6 (NKJV)
The Philippian church was one of the thriving churches Paul was joyful about when he heard good reports about them. They didn’t have many problems like the Galatian church, who were being deceived to live lives contrary to the gospel they had initially received. And so, Paul, as part of the introduction of his epistle to the Philippian church, said that he was confident that the God who had begun a good work in (among) the brethren would complete it until the second coming of Jesus. Today, it’s like telling a small ministry leader that God will oversee the flourishing of his ministry as time goes on.
If you are a believer reading this devotional today and God told you to start something—say a business, ministry, or any establishment—or even get married to that fantastic spouse, be rest assured that it’ll not go down the drain. God will finish the good work He has started in your life. That means you shouldn’t give up no matter the challenges you face. Oh, I don’t know how often I want to emphasise this. Just don’t give up, no matter what men say.
Some people are experts in talking badly about people doing something significant in life. Instead of adding their voice in prayer and encouragement to them, they prefer to pull them down. Beware of them because they are pretenders. You’ll not see them conspire against you before your face, but they do. Take heed and guard yourself from losing focus on your divine assignment.

Father, thank You for grace and mercy. Empower me to keep doing what You’ve called me to do no matter the atrocities I face in this life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
