Knowing God Devotional is an online daily devotional written by Andrews Baah Kwafo, the president of The Bible Daily Network.
God’s fire clears every filthy thing in the path of the believer’s life. And so if a Christian doesn’t fan it to flame through consistent fellowship with God, bad things creep in subtly as engineered by the devil and eventually make him divert from God’s path. Prioritise your time with the Lord every single day.
Commit to loving the brethren despite what some of them do against you. And know that you came to Christ by faith. So don’t let that faith stand in how people treat you.
Your body has been purchased by God using Jesus’ blood. So the moment you get saved, you don’t own it. Instead, you are a steward of it, and it remains God’s property.
God’s plan for you is unique, so living like the masses won’t help you. Devote yourself to prayer and keep following the steps of Jesus.
Many things people say have been complimented by others as true due to votes and comments. But only Jesus is the truth.
When Jesus uses ‘verily verily,’ then what He is about to say is of great importance and is a significant doctrine in the faith.
Living an exemplary life for others to admire and desire to be like is very honourable, and there are not many people like that in this generation.
It’s about time the children of God must desist from working to merely please people and letting money be the ultimate inspiration for what they do, especially in church.
While it is laborious to sit to read and study scripture, hearing it for yourself, especially through audio Bibles, throughout your day can nourish your spirit so much. Keep studying the Word. But study to encounter God, not to just know it.
You may ask whether people in authority need prayers. After all, don’t they have enough money and security? Yes, they do. Why? If you don’t pray for them, their minds will start conceiving evil thoughts. And when such thoughts get implemented, people will suffer, including you.
As a minister of the gospel, don’t let your hope be in people to take care of you. Don’t do that at all! Hope in God! Learn the secret of being content in any and every situation. Don’t give up thinking visionary thoughts. But hope in God to lift you!
Dear friend, there is a high calling for you. But before you get there, you must adapt to godly change as the Spirit leads you – both in thoughts and physical exploits.
