[6] “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6 (KJV)
There are many religions in this world. But for all of them, none of their leaders ever said “he is the truth.” People have believed and continue to believe lies about others that they carry some superpower so people should follow them. But over time, I’ve monitored and still continue to monitor what people say and what Jesus said in Jon 14:6 still stands. He said He is the way, the truth and the life, and that no person comes unto the Father but by Him. Today, I want us to focus on the first statement: Jesus is the truth.
In an age where social media opinions are ruling people’s lives, more people seek validation from others in their speech instead of God. Many things people say have been complimented by others as true due to votes and comments. But only Jesus is the truth. In other words, the definition of truth is Jesus, not any quote from anybody. A word from a person may sound correct and appealing to the mind. But the Word is still intact.
Look at the Bible. It has lasted for thousands of years without any change. Yet, it hasn’t lost a single bit of power. In fact, it is still transforming lives. Isn’t it evident enough to tell you that Jesus is the truth? He is the same yesterday, today and forever (see Hebrews 13:8). Follow Jesus. He is the source and definition of truth.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to know You better each day as I live in subjection to Your ways. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
