[3] “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” – John 3:3 (KJV)
I’ve read the four gospel books several times since I was born again in 2016. And one of the words that catches my attention more is “verily.” That word means ‘truly.’ So when Jesus uses ‘verily verily,’ then what He is about to say is of great importance and is a significant doctrine in the faith.
Jesus used it when Nicodemus visited Him one night. After having some conversations with this man, He realised Nicodemus didn’t understand what it means to be born again, so He taught Him. That was when Jesus said, “… Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Today, this Word is very important in Christ. Anyone who is not born again is not in the kingdom of God. As a matter of fact, such a person is condemned to hell and the only thing that can change it before physical death is salvation. So today, if a person goes to hell, it is not because of sin. Instead, it’s because that person didn’t accept Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour before death.
Dear believer, never stop preaching the gospel of Christ to the world. Witness to every unbeliever you meet because Jesus is coming soon, and people are passing into eternity daily.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for saving me. I pray that more people will come to encounter the gospel for them to be saved. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
