[11] “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
One of the many things that trouble many people is how to make ends meet. Several people, including some believers, daily wonder when things will move smoothly in their lives as they are bombarded with life challenges every day. So was the case of the Israelites. At the time the prophet Jeremiah was writing his book, they were in exile in Babylon. These people longed to return to their native land. However, that desire hadn’t been fulfilled for long, and they were getting worried. That was when God stepped in and said He had a great plan for them – plans to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them hope and a future. Today, this Word is for you.
Do you feel like your life has run to a standstill? You apply for jobs but don’t get a meaningful one that suits your career. Perhaps you want to change your job, but it has proven futile for a while. I want to assure you that God has a great plan for you. Why don’t you ask Him what to do? Maybe He wants you to concentrate on your current job so you can build enough capacity for a greater one in future. In fact, hearing God about your situation changes everything.
Usually, many people who want to see fast progression in their lives run into insecurity when they interact with other fellows who tell them about how things are working for them in their lives. Don’t let that be your story. God’s plan for you is unique, so living like the masses won’t help you. Devote yourself to prayer and keep following the steps of Jesus.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your love and affection. Help me to lean on Your understanding as I live in peace, trusting You to fulfil everything You have said about my life in time. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
