Apply Your Heart to Instruction

When it comes to instruction, Solomon says in Proverbs 23:12 that, don’t listen with your ears but your heart. But why? Because you easily forget what you hear but retain what you keep in your heart for long.
There are better ways of becoming wealthy without needing to wear yourself out. Go to God in prayer and let Him show you what to do with your money for Him to bless it.
It’s God’s desire for you to prosper, so much so that you’ll lend to others and not borrow (see Deuteronomy 28:12). Stop overspending money you don’t earn, else you’ll keep borrowing from people to buy things you can’t afford, but you want.
You shouldn’t give yourself to everything and everybody while leaving your family aside. Sometimes, withdraw from all things that take your time to spend quality time thinking about making Christ known in your family‘s daily activities.
When Solomon came over and prayed, saying that God should rescue those being led away to death, he was pleading with God to help people realise the true nature of who they are following or listening to in their lives.
One wise man said, “You’ll never get in sin what you got into sin to get.” Mmm! That is an intriguing truth there. It simply means that if you thought engaging in that sin would satisfy you, you’ll realise that you’ll not get that satisfaction you thought that evil act would give you. The best way to live condemnation-free in Christ is to walk according to the Spirit
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived on this Earth, said that when it comes to war (finding solutions to problems), you need guidance. That means that what you know will not always be enough to battle the issues you face. So, normalise outsourcing of information to make your life better. But be careful where you get the information.
The more people you serve, the greater God makes you. That is His way of lifting people to greatness.
Everybody has dreams. But let me tell you that your dream may be nothing compared to what God has purposed for you to accomplish. Stick to following God’s ways. There’s joy in following Jesus. So don’t give up!
Complaining that your work, finance, relationships, education, business, or why any area of your life is in shambles doesn’t solve any problem. It is hearing God about that situation that changes everything. Will you go and pray about that situation, hear God and follow His Word, or you’ll keep complaining?
Many are doing something merely to survive. Meanwhile, God created each person on purpose for a purpose. And if each person discovers one’s purpose and follows suit, chasing fantasies will cease.
Your followership of Jesus may require you to give up some treasured relationships in your life. But the good news is that there are benefits to this sacrifice. Deny yourself and follow Jesus, friend. You’ll benefit from such in ways you’ll not imagine.
