Chasing Fantasies Does Not Bring Inner Fulfilment

[36] “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” – Mark 8:36 (NKJV)

As a young minister of the gospel, I’ve had the privilege of living and travelling around urban areas where tall buildings belonging to several companies are familiar to see. In such instances, anybody living in such an environment will be affected by such exposure and will probably think big, unlike a little child in the village who only knows that the highest-earning job is to tap wine.

However, one bad thing I’ve noticed about the people who live in such areas is that many don’t take their relationship with God very seriously. And so because of that, many of them don’t consult God before chasing after some things in their lives, especially concerning business or making money. Many are doing something merely to survive. Meanwhile, God created each person on purpose for a purpose. And if each person discovers one’s purpose and follows suit, chasing fantasies will cease.

Many people live confused. So they don’t know what to use their lives to do exactly. If you’re one of such people, I recommend you to come to Jesus for salvation. Then pursue a deeper intimacy with Him as you serve in the ministry. He will beautify your life, although it’ll take time to do that. Don’t follow friends to do what’s not good. Instead, follow God’s direction for your life.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your immeasurable grace. Teach me to value people and follow ardently concerning your purpose for my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
