We must be careful about the advice we give others when they come to us for help. You might be breaching God’s rule when you tell people, especially couples, to separate. There is a solution to every problem. So make up your mind never to serve as a reference point to make someone disobey God’s principles.
If you have anybody in your life constantly giving you problems and preventing you from enjoying God’s peace, it’s time to separate from the person. Maybe that person is a childhood friend whom you cherish so much. But hey, having peace is so worth it.
The Bible says it is unwise to testify against your neighbour without a cause (or valid reason for your accusation). When you do that, it says your lips can mislead you. That means as long as you don’t know the full details of a close person’s issue, you are not permitted to speak evil of him, even as a way of criticising him constructively.
We live in a wicked age. So, don’t expect people always to think as good as you do. May God give you understanding as you keep preaching Him in this lost age.
God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way for Jesus’ coming. But his mother, Elisabeth, was very old when she gave birth to her. In fact, she was so old that when her neighbours and relatives heard how the Lord had shown her mercy, they rejoiced with her (see Luke 1:58). Today, the work John the Baptist came to do has been recognised in scripture. Can I tell you something? There is great divine mercy for a special child.
After the angel Gabriel gave Mary the news that Jesus would be born through her and used Elisabeth’s case of giving birth in old age, she decided to go and stay with the old lady. Mary’s decision to go and stay with Elisabeth implies that it is prudent to hang around people who are pregnant with God’s promises.
Don’t toy with your life. Discover your purpose in the Lord and keep following suit. Through that, you’ll make an impact on your generation.
By choosing to love our enemies, we express Christ. It also allows us to break the cycle of hatred and create opportunities for reconciliation and healing. Loving our enemies doesn’t mean condoning their actions or overlooking injustice; instead, it’s about responding with love and compassion.
Commit to loving the brethren despite what some of them do against you. And know that you came to Christ by faith. So don’t let that faith stand in how people treat you.
With all seriousness, guard your mind from deception. When the devil tries to paint an enticing picture of sin in your life, look at God’s Word and resist him. Life in Christ is not a joke. So don’t trade yours for anything ungodly.
Never give up on God, even in the midst of fierce persecution. He knew how much you would be persecuted since the day you accepted Jesus as Lord and personal saviour. He knows how to carry you forward in the faith till the end. Just don’t give up.
God doesn’t bless thieves. If you borrow someone’s thing and don’t send it back, you’re wicked (see Psalm 37:21). Stop destroying relationships with people with this evil behaviour.
