Proverbs 3:25 says you should have no fear of sudden disaster or the ruin that overtakes the wicked. Why? Verse 26 gives us the reason. That is, God will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. Isn’t that great news? You ought to have absolute confidence in God for your life and not be limited by what fear always suggests.
You have to learn how to clamp down your worry list in your mind, especially when you are with Jesus in prayer or in church. If you don’t do this, busying yourself won’t make you enjoy the Lord, even as a minister doing His work. Before God, devotion unto Him precedes duty for Him, although both are important. Don’t misplace this priority in your life.
Martha wanted her brother to come back alive, but she resisted it when Jesus ordered people to remove the stone covering the tomb. That is what happens when you want something from God but haven’t positioned yourself to get that thing. Don’t do that!
Take hold of your mind – don’t be ruled by just anything that flips through it. Whenever insecurity thoughts about yourself arise, focus on ‘whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable.’ Let your mind dwell on all that is excellent and praiseworthy, for these thoughts align with how God sees you and the unique purpose He has created you to fulfil.
Can you forgive yourself for what you’ve done and let God’s refreshing grace renew you? When you feel condemned, run to Jesus in prayer. Pour out your heart to Him. But after He has healed you of your shortcomings, don’t return to satisfying the fleshly desires.
The art of depending on God for provision is a vital aspect of Christian living. Our insatiable desires and pursuit of worldly things can lead us astray, causing us to forget to rely on God. However, when we seek Him first, He promises to provide all our needs. Let us not envy others or rely on temporary solutions but patiently wait on God, knowing He has our best interests at heart.
You are more valuable than birds. That means God is able to meet your needs far beyond what you’ll just eat to survive. Stop worrying. Stop wailing over what you don’t have. While it’s good to have the future in view, love enjoying today as the day the Lord has made.
Troubled people are the most miserable people on this earth. They can’t help but live in anxiety. When you hit such a stage in your life, remember to call on the name of the Lord. He will be there to calm you down. Never give up on God. Never!

When you pray when you’re in trouble, God’s peace will fill your heart and mind. You’ll see that even if your situation isn’t fully solved, you’ll be calm as God comes to your rescue.
