“For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.” — Matthew 6:32 NIV
Are you conscious of the truth that God is omniscient? He knows your needs, including the ones you don’t even know you need them.
Have you seen a little boy, say five years old, tell his father, “I need new clothes?” Very rarely have I seen it. And even if it happens, that little boy may have probably seen his colleagues wear new uniforms in school, which triggered such a mindset.
As a believer in Christ, you’re God’s precious child. He knows all the things you need, even before you ask Him. It’s when you grow that you’ll realise some things you need that weren’t part of your thoughts when you were little. An example is food, shelter and clothing.
Jesus said God knows your needs. He knows you need the things pagans run after. But instead of chasing after them like they do, this same God will provide all of those needs when you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). That’s awesome.
Every father loves it when he has obedient children. Solomon says in Proverbs 15:5 (NIV) that,
“A fool despises his father’s instruction, But he who receives correction is prudent.”
When you obey God, He’ll be pleased with You. And because of that humility, He’ll exalt you (1 Peter 5:7). How? One way is by providing for you.
God is ready to give you everything you need to sponsor His vision for your life, including the personal ones. Pastor Vlad Savchuk once said,
“When God gives the vision, He’s behind the provision.”

Look to God to supply everything you need to fulfil your calling, both materially and spiritually (divine knowledge).
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
In the name of Jesus, Father, I know you know my needs. So as You’ve promised to meet each of them, help me develop patience and tenacity to wait for Your timing to receive them. Amen!
