[6] “The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him… .” — 2 Chronicles 16:9 NLT
Being in ministry for a few years, I’ve encountered several leaders who carry grief upon grief because they can’t bear the burden of Christian leadership. Indeed, leadership comes first and foremost with commitment. But where commitment is, burdens also exist and even increase when the people involved aren’t fully committed to what the Lord is doing through your life and organisation. That is why God is working for you, dear leader.
Reading 2 Chronicles 16:9 again, this time very slowly,
“The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him… .”
Are you committed to the Lord? If yes, then God is working for you. He wants to strengthen you to remain committed to Him and faithful to His mission. Because of a truth, this is an evil age (see Galatians 1:4), and without divine direction, you can be led astray by its vicious influences.
Pray the Lord Himself fills your heart with His joy always. For by so doing, you’ll become spiritually edified to carry on your divine mandate (see Nehemiah 8:10).
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for determining to give me support as I do Your work with extreme commitment. Despite disappointments, help me to hold on firmly to Your Word, which never fails. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
