[6] “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,” — Colossians 2:6 NKJV
While growing up, I heard many people preach for people to accept Jesus only to escape hell. But with time, I realised that anyone who accepted Christ with this intention without any discipleship by the soul winner or church dwindles off the race of faith because of a lack of patience in waiting for the Lord’s second coming to show up.
Jesus is on a mission to fill all things (see Ephesians 4:10). “All things” comprise everything in the universe – including the Earth. However, it’s evident in scripture that He’s doing this on Earth through willing men because God has given this Earth to the children of men to have dominion over (see Genesis 1:28, Psalm 115:16).
Without Jesus, you can do nothing. So to fulfil your part of God’s full dominion mandate, you have to walk in the Lord just as you received Him.
To walk in the Lord means to live in submission to His will in all your ways. And that is possible if you have knowledge and understanding of His Word.
Friend, God carved out a unique race of faith for you when you got saved. Therefore, just as you got saved by grace through faith, walk in the same grace by applying faith in all your ways.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for saving me. I receive divine empowerment to walk in You, according to Your patterns and plan for my life. Thank You, Jesus. Amen!
