[28] “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. [29] Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. [30] If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?” — Matthew 6:28 - 30 NIV
Have you ever opened your wardrobe one morning while dressing up for school (university) or work and thought, “I don’t have clothes?” That happens more to young people, especially women. So I asked myself why? And God said, “Many of the Gen Z people are used to seeing new things every day, especially on the internet. So no matter how much they have, they’re just not content.” I was amazed when I heard that but kept it to myself until writing it today.
Later on, one of my lecturers in the university walked to class one morning and said that many companies like hiring young people because their salary demands are low; since they care more about clothes and enjoying life at that age, not really putting up houses and businesses. She was teaching us a course named Principles of Management, so I wasn’t surprised.
Jesus, the ancient of days and the embodiment of all wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3), knew this and provided its solution before even Gen Z started.
He said if flowers don’t work, yet their adornment is lovelier than Solomon’s apparel, how much more will God clothe His children? So as a child of God, what you wear shouldn’t be part of your worry list.
What others think about you isn’t more important than what God thinks about you!

Sometimes I wonder why so many people are clothing minded. Maybe such people think they ought to wear good clothes because others are watching their lives. But what others think about you isn’t more important than what God thinks about you!
The reason why I firmly believe that God will clothe you is because of the fulfilment of your divine mandate. If God called you to preach to nations, why would God not clothe you well? Can you preach naked to people? Of course not! You cannot fulfil your divine mandate without having something to wear. Why? Because you must move around to see so many things done.
Child of God, be rest assured. God will clothe you. He’ll do it so well that you’ll be shocked. Trust Him to provide, even when you didn’t expect Him.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
In the name of Jesus, Father, I know you know my needs. So as You’ve promised to meet each of them, help me develop patience and tenacity to wait for Your timing to receive them. Amen!
