Have No Fear of Sudden Disaster

[25] “Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, [26] for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.” – Proverbs 3:25-26 (NIV)

Do you know that fear is one of the most predominant things people battle with in life? It even worsens when such fearful people encounter terrible situations, like a car accident or night burglary. I understand the adverse impact of these incidents on the hearts of many. But in Christ, the child of God can actually live above fear or expectations of sudden disaster.

Proverbs 3:25 says you should have no fear of sudden disaster or the ruin that overtakes the wicked. Why? Verse 26 gives us the reason. That is, God will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared. Isn’t that great news? You ought to have absolute confidence in God for your life and not be limited by what fear always suggests. Have you not read 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) that says,

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

As a child of God, you need not be afraid once the Holy Ghost dwells on your inside. He will empower you to live in power and love and help you have a sound mind as you focus on building intimacy in Him. Don’t fret about what the enemy will do in your life because you have the divine authority to cease everything he does by prayer.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your love and affection. Help me to trust You to perfect everything concerning my life constantly. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
