Do Not Accuse Anyone for No Reason

[30] “Do not accuse anyone for no reason— when they have done you no harm.” – Proverbs 3:30 (NIV)

Have you seen a child blame his sibling for something the other hasn’t done? If you are a parent, you may have dealt with such a situation with your kids before. Probably, you may have learned that without taking time to discern such situations, you may be deceived into treating one child better than others. Now, God knows we are humans, and we cannot always judge correctly because we can’t read the motives of others behind what they do, including children. That is why He always insists on us getting wisdom (see Proverbs 4:7), which is what will help us discern matters well.

Think about that situation in the Bible where one woman came accusing another of having stolen her baby. If Solomon hadn’t employed the spirit of wisdom to fish out the culprit, the accuser, who was eventually the one at fault, would have gone away with her selfish deeds. Many times, when you are to stand as a judge over a situation, be it an offence or grudge against two people, listening to one side of the story can lead you astray.

As a judge, always wait to hear both sides of the story before pronouncing judgment. On the other side, as a person, do not accuse anyone for no reason. People are dealing with several issues that you know nothing about. So please make up your mind not to add up to their woes. Lead a quiet life and mind your business. May the Lord help you to have healthy relationships with others.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for wisdom in my life. Help me to live in harmony with others everywhere I go. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
