The Solution to Anxiety

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 4:6 - 7 NKJV

Life is full of lots of uncertainties. Many people are afflicted with daily difficulties and many issues in life. As a result, some give up and attempt suicide. But for the others who keep pressing on, most battle with anxiety. Such people are always wondering when life issues will end.

The truth is that issues of life will never cease. Jesus made it clear that in this world, we will have trouble (John 16:33). So from this, wishing or praying for life issues to end is baseless. Instead of doing those things, I think it’s time we discover and walk in God’s knowledge of His solution to anxiety.

Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6 not to be anxious about anything. Then he adds that “…in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”

From this verse, God’s solution to anxiety is prayer, not complaints. Instead of thinking so much about how to face each issue that comes your way, turn to prayer. Tell God what you’re facing. He cares about you. As you pray, you’ll see that God’s peace will fill your heart and mind.

Let’s get this right. If we’re constantly praying, then we’ll not have any issues dealing with anxiety because God’s peace will always be manifest in our lives. Sometimes, don’t go to God barely to present requests, although it’s essential. Just pray to be with Him. He’ll order your steps and make you see the conqueror in you come to light.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Jesus, I lay all my life issues before you as I pray. I declare a holy war against any form of anxiety. I believe you turn situations around by prayer. Let your peace fill my mind and heart right now. Amen!
