Disaster Strikes When There’s a Lack of Good Leadership
God gives leaders insight into the future. Hence, they discipline their lives, as well as everyone around them, to move towards the vision’s fulfilment.
Knowing God Devotional is an online daily devotional written by Andrews Baah Kwafo, the president of The Bible Daily Network.

For God to say, “… I will show you My salvation,” in Psalm 91:16, it means He’s committed to protecting you, His child, from losing your life. Hence, even though you sometimes mess up and do all kinds of things that deserve punishment, God will step in on your behalf, defend you against all harm and show His love upon you massively.
When was the last time you told God to test your heart? Maybe, you’ve been praying daily to God for things but never for His transformative work in your heart and mind to get to a higher level. Today, there’s an invitation to go deeper in God.
What happens when you confess your trespasses to one another in Christ is that wise people in the Lord will help you overcome them, pray for you and teach you the ways of God to live in victory.
You reap what you sow. If you sow in the Spirit to know God and follow Him closely, you’ll reap significant eternal life of purpose and divine direction plus heavenly reward.
Most people, including some Christians, are fast detectors of other people’s errors, but not themselves. Sometimes, we believers in Christ forget that there’s a charge on us in the Word to watch our lives closely (1 Timothy 4:16). And because of this truth, we’re not supposed to be only concerned with correcting others at the expense of ourselves.
Eternal treasures have more value than earthly ones. When you serve the Lord with gladness in your heart, your record of good works in heaven increases, generating more results for you in eternity.
Friend, don’t force yourself to please people by doing good things beyond your capacity. Life in Christ isn’t a competition. Everyone’s race of faith is different, with different divine assignments. If you cannot give as much as others do, celebrate God and do what you can by grace.
God has fixed your destiny. But you need His Word to teach you both what to do with each step you make and, at the same time, give you a vision of your future so you won’t miss your providential way. That is what it means for the Word to be both a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path (Psalm 119:105).
Fret not when you see challenges opposed to your calling. The Lord will perfect everything that concerns you. He will work things out for your good. In all your ways, submit to Him.
David trusted the saving power of God so much that he knew God would never forsake him. What about you? Do you believe God will save you in every situation when you call upon Him? Did you know that God will never run out of resources to provide for you?
Look around your life – your church, classmates or even neighbours. There’s at least one wise believer, yet despised, so people don’t listen to him. Don’t be fooled. Humble yourself, go to the person and learn the ways of God. You’ll be a tremendous blessing for doing this.
