“[17] I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the Lord.” — Psalms 118:17 NKJV
Have you been in situations in which you felt like your life is about to end? I’ve been there several times, especially the day when I got lost in a city after spending too much time on a trip. At that moment, I just remembered that as far as time is concerned, I’m not done doing all that God has called me to do on this Earth. So I cannot die in this situation. To this day, I still live on purpose, declaring the doings of the Lord. Hallelujah!
As the Lord did for me, so I speak unto your life, that you shall live and proclaim the works of the Lord. Your life will overflow with testimonies of God’s goodness. Why? Because the Word says in Psalm 23:6 (NKJV) that,
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.”
When David said this, he knew what the Lord had done for him. Today, that goodness of God – Christ Jesus, dwells in You (see 2 Corinthians 13:5). That means God’s goodness and mercy are following you all the days of your life.
Don’t let the devil tell you that God is ready to slay you. It’s not true and has never been His intention towards you. God is good, and His divine benevolence is overflowing in your life. It will end well with you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, teach me Your ways. Help me to hold on firmly to Your sure Word that I shall not die but live to proclaim Your works. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
