You Shall Live to Declare the Works of the Lord

[17] “I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.” – Psalms 118:17 (NKJV)

Have you gotten to a near-death situation in your life before? Most of the time, it is so frightening that you start to think about the various things to put together on your deathbed so you can bid the world farewell. But if you want to live, especially knowing that God’s assignment in your life is nowhere near completion, that is when you must start confessing God’s promises in your life. For David, he boldly declared that he shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. What about you?

Life isn’t merely about whiling away time each day. Every day is special to God and should be special to you. David prayed in Psalm 90:12 that God should teach us to number our days so we may gain a heart of wisdom. That means that there shouldn’t be a day in your life that won’t move you forward to your prophetic destiny. And because of that, declaring that you shall live to declare the works of the Lord is paramount for maintaining a purpose-driven life consciousness.

You may have seen other people die prematurely, and that made you sad, but it doesn’t have to happen to you. When you feel fragile about living, don’t give up. Instead, go to the Lord in prayer to recharge yourself in the Spirit and come back to face life with renewed strength. May the Lord help you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, strengthen me to face life with grace. May I never lack the strength to continue living purposefully under Your direction. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
