They That Wait Upon the Lord Shall Renew Their Strength

[31] “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

In my few years of life, there are certain things I have observed and have seen various outcomes of certain people’s decisions. For some, what the Bible says is very true about the things that come from their lives. One such is how life turns out for many after they grow old. In their youthful ages, they work hard to buy this and that. But as they age, they start becoming weary, battling with sicknesses and other problems that claim the plenty of wealth they have worked to amass over the years. Hmm! This devil has nothing good for anybody. He can make you enjoy wealth today, but it will surely cost you tomorrow if you don’t repent to follow Jesus.

The prophet Isaiah confirmed this when he said in Isaiah 40:30 (KJV) that,

“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:”

After that, he said, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength…”. Waiting is work. It requires a lot of patience. But even today, many people find it hard to wait in life, much more to think about “waiting upon the Lord.” Why? Because everyone wants to do something to catch up, especially with peer pressure among teenagers and young adults.

Dear one, life is long. Waiting upon the Lord builds your stature in the Spirit, renews your strength, and helps you accelerate exponentially in life without any side effects or sorrow. Don’t be in a rush in life to fulfil your dreams. Serve the God of the dreams and follow Him patiently. You’ll not be caught in the pressure to perform.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your grace. Help me to be patient in life. Deepen my trust in You to provide every step of the way. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
