You’re Immersed In God’s Goodness

[6] “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” — Psalms 23:6 NKJV

How would you feel if I came to tell you that you’re immersed in God’s goodness? I mean, God will never stop being good to you no matter what happens in your life. Won’t you be happy? I guess so. Right?

That’s how God is to us every time. He is always good, and His mercy endures forever. So even though you mess up, sometimes disobey Him and grieve the Holy Spirit, He’s committed to doing you good.

David, the Psalmist who didn’t even have the Holy Spirit in Him, believed this. That’s why he declared in Psalm. 23:6 that, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life;…”. To him, God’s goodness and mercy will follow him as he moves along in life. But to us, the New Testament believers, God’s goodness and mercy are already following us because the Lord is for us and in us always.

Have you experienced bad things in life that are making you question the goodness of God upon you? I tell you that it’s better to go to Him for a revelation of why He allowed you to go through those situations. That will brighten your understanding of His love for you instead of merely believing that God hasn’t dealt with you well.

God is good. He’s also a visionary Father. So some of His actions today aren’t totally understandable to the human mind. Therefore, be rest assured that you’re immersed in His goodness. And no matter what happens to you, He’ll always be by your side.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me understand Your goodness better and better each day as I live unto Your glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
