Imitate the Faith of the Fathers
Dear friend, God wants you to imitate the faith of the fathers. That means you must study the lives of the patriarchs and prophets in the Old Testament because their lives have a lot to teach you.

You may not have everything you want today, and as your income increases, so what you need to use money for increases. Enjoy life now with the little you have because if God is with you, your situation won’t be like this forever. Be encouraged.
The journey of life is long—talking about day after day, week after week, month after month and years after years. You don’t need to rush to fulfil what God has said about your life in your own time. Yes, I understand that it is good to live the dream. But it takes patience to get there. Wage war on God’s prophecies about your life by prayer as you work. The Lord will perfect everything concerning your life.
We are in a race of faith. That race must be run with patience, not with a rushy spirit (see Hebrews 12:1). Therefore, believing God every step of the way is very, very important. And that activity, in its entirety, is work. In fact, that work is difficult.
Child of God, you ought to live wisely in this perverse generation. You shouldn’t leave your labour to know the Lord intimately to chance. Because, I tell you, it won’t happen by automation. And the more you know God, the more you will be free from deception. May the Lord be your light.
To seek from the Lord means to persist in prayer about the same request unto Him. On top of that, that person doesn’t give up on that request until heaven grants it to him. That should be part and parcel of your life as a child of God, especially if you are a minister and you need some dimensions of grace to flourish in ministry well.
Never stop working. You can retire from your workplace, but don’t go and sit home doing nothing. Otherwise, your potential will be wasted. As you age, you won’t be able to go at the pace young people go. So, reducing your workload and training people to replace you as you gain more experience is wise. But always find something worthwhile doing. It will help you to cultivate what is in your hands—gifts, talents and creativity.
Jesus said if a tree is good, then its fruit is good. Consequently, if a tree is bad, its fruit will also be bad. Interpreting this in relation to people’s behaviour implies that a sinner remains a sinner because sin is inherent in him. But the saved are righteous because God confers His righteousness to those who accept Jesus as Lord and personal Saviour (see Romans 10:9).
Usually, people think those tagged as evil don’t need the message of salvation. But I tell you, they do. If that politician doesn’t receive Christ, won’t the devil manipulate their minds to govern the nation in evil ways, which will, in turn, affect us believers? Don’t be deceived, dear preacher. Evangelising to people, no matter their status in life is very important.
Make time for people – both impromptu interruptions and scheduled appointments. It will help you minister to the needs of people individually, as many as you are able. Nevertheless, prioritise your safety, integrity, and health, lest anyone try to take advantage of your sincerity and soil God’s work in your hands.
You cannot have an impactful ministry if you speak like a toddler before people, even if God has anointed you. No! You need divine authority to fuel your charisma to lead and teach God’s people entrusted in your hands.
According to Jesus in Matthew 6:1, anyone who practices his righteousness (interpreted as benevolence) before others with the aim of attracting public applause will have no reward from the Father in heaven. Think about that! If you fail to give God’s way, you lose resources because God won’t reward you for your deed. Mercy!
