We are ambassadors of Christ wherever we are and go (2 Corinthians 5:20). Jesus never gave the disciples a method, strategy or medium to spread the gospel. He just told them to go and make disciples of all nations. That means that for them, and now to us to reach the ends of the world, we have been given the liberty to be creative and innovative.
Jesus is the builder of His church, not you. So with whatever He has called you to do, He is the leader even as you’re the leader of your team or home (I speak to godly married men in this case). And because of that, His work by grace empowerment in you contributes directly to the global building of the Church. So anytime you rebel against Him, you’re veering off His original plan for His worldwide church building; that’s where failure sets in.
The eternal life of Christ in you is so precious to live it haphazardly. Watch your steps; for you’re an epistle of Christ to this broken world.
God encourages us to get wisdom (see Proverbs 4:7). Because He knows when divine wisdom is available in the mind of His children, they’ll live unto Him and keep their tongues in check, which will, in turn, help keep their whole body in check.
Despite the faults we keep finding in other people’s lives, speaking evil of them is of no benefit. Instead, we should live wisely with them in a manner that promotes peace, especially by checking the words we speak whenever they show any wrong attitude.
The Word says the fear of the Lord adds length to life. But is it just about living longer? No! It’s also about living a life of relevance, purpose and impact on generations in the wisdom of God.
Maybe you’re hot-tempered because of the way you got raised from home. But I tell you that God has the keys to transform you wholly. He’ll give you beauty for ashes. Enable patience to calm quarrels, and you’ll live a peaceful life.
Be wise to build security around your life, especially as a minister of Christ. Make sure you have at least seven people in your life who have the liberty and boldness to correct you when you’re wrong without you feeling awful about their talk. It’s for your own safety so that you’ll have enough guidance to finish your race of faith well.
You need the wisdom to build anything, be it ministry, business or any organisation, to last. And it’s by that need Jesus warns you to be as wise as a serpent.
Look around your life – your church, classmates or even neighbours. There’s at least one wise believer, yet despised, so people don’t listen to him. Don’t be fooled. Humble yourself, go to the person and learn the ways of God. You’ll be a tremendous blessing for doing this.
To keep a straight course means to be focused in life. It refers to living with intentionality, always bearing in mind that there’s a divine vision to accomplish and possibly die for before Jesus comes back. Having this at the back of your mind regulates your life and time usage exceptionally. Because you’ll not have time to play around doing nothing meaningful.
