Living in fear (reverence) of God in an increasing manner has a direct link to walking in divine obedience to God’s commands. The more you are careful to obey God’s commands, the higher you’ll increase in wisdom in Christ.
Sometimes, as a man of God, it is interesting to see how your own family can doubt your calling. They find it rare to believe that someone who has stayed with them for decades suddenly now behaves like a pastor. So they can throw negative comments about your life just to test your resolve. Let me encourage you. Don’t let the opinion of others imprison you or dictate your course of life. Relate to others well, but keep your head straight as you follow God’s plan.
Ephesians 5:16 says that as a believer, you must make the most of every opportunity. Why? Because the days are evil. Hence, living wisely in this perverse generation as ambassadors of Christ is very paramount.
Just because you are born again doesn’t mean your life is going to be all flashy. Sometimes, bad things might happen that can pose severe threats to your faith, but that doesn’t mean God has left you. Learn how to comport yourself in honour of God, no matter what happens
Wisdom is a cornerstone of purposeful living, guiding you to make sound decisions, excel in your pursuits, and align with God’s will. It is not merely a trait to be admired but a spirit to be sought intentionally, cultivated through discipline, and rooted in the fear of the Lord.
Paul told the Ephesian church that they shouldn’t be unwise. Instead, they must be bent on understanding God’s will. Really? That means anybody who doesn’t understand God’s will will likely live a life lacking divine wisdom. And that is a terrible thing to behold.
Dear child of God, understand that your way of life, which is holy before God, will always be seen as of no value before the unbelievers in the world. You cannot keep close associates with unbelievers because they will never recognise your value, except when God touches their hearts to receive the gospel in power. Guard your life and mind from listening to foolish talk from people who don’t see the worth involved in serving the Lord with gladness.
In Christ, you experience a unique freedom that goes beyond just being liberated from sin; it helps you to live in a way that honours God. This freedom empowers you to make wise choices and discern what truly benefits your faith in Christ.
Christ is the embodiment of all wisdom and knowledge (see Colossians 2:3), which means that everything called wisdom and knowledge that proceeds from God is in Him in full measure. But do you know something? He is also selfless. He liberally gives wisdom to anyone who asks Him (see James 1:5).
When you have the spirit of wisdom operating in your life in a high way, it gives meaning to whatever you do. In fact, it helps you to live unconfused about life. That was what Jesus had, and several people misunderstood Him.
When you are careful about interpreting the times and seasons of God’s handiwork in your life, you won’t miss His moves in your life. Furthermore, you will build patience to engage Him as He fulfils His promises in Your life step by step.
Divisive people don’t have good character. They need transformation, and only God can do that. However, to prevent yourself from getting influenced by their toxic behaviour, you are required not to be close to them. Remember that bad company corrupts good morals (see 1 Corinthians 15:33). So guard your spiritual sanity by abstaining from divisive people.
