Open Rebuke Is Better Than Secret Love

Offences will come between people who dwell in love. And when it’s one-time, it can and should be forgiven and overlooked with a conscious decision. Nevertheless, when such an act becomes repetitive, it doesn’t only require forgiveness but also open rebuke. Why? Because if that person doesn’t get confronted with his fault, he will keep doing it and think nothing is wrong with his attitude.

Do Everything Without Complaining

When you don’t understand why God tells you to do something, it’s not the time to complain to Him. You only have to do it as you trust Him. See, God isn’t only your heavenly Father. He’s also your leader. That means there are things He knows that you don’t know, and just because you don’t know something doesn’t give you the audacity to disobey Him.

How to Prevent Strife

Emphasising forgiveness is very important in our relationships with one another. No matter what you do, people will offend you. However, Colossians 3:13 tells us to forgive others as Christ has also forgiven us. Note that there are no conditions attached to that scripture. Your point may be correct, but to prevent strife and promote peace, lay aside what makes you think you’re right and forgive your offender.

Satisfy Other People’s Interests

God’s love is patient. To express it, you’ll not get everything you want; because you’ll consider other people’s interests in your decisions. You’re only required to reject people’s opinions when their thoughts aren’t in synchrony with what God has told you to do.

Forgive Your Offender

Learn to forgive your offender. No person is God. Don’t depend on another person to give you happiness. Depend on God to fill you with His joy so that you can dispense His joy in you to others without expecting returns.

Perfect God’s Love in You

God is love and wants every part of your life to express Christ. His Word is your life manual. Treasure it. Read. Study and meditate upon it. You’ll see that it’ll be easy for the Holy Spirit to remind you (give you rhēma) anytime you need the Word to choose what you have to do.

Two Are Better Than One

God didn’t create you to do life alone. You may never know when you’ll need another person’s help. You may not know when another person will also need your help. Walk with wise people, and have at least one friend in Christ who’ll be with you every time of your life.

Flee from Sexual Immorality

Understanding why God has given you a body for the Holy Spirit to dwell in and becoming conscious of it is an even more powerful way to flee from sexual immorality. Why? Because you’ll learn how to control your body and use it purposefully.

Looking for the Right Partner in the Wrong Place?

A question many Christians about relationships is, “can we date anybody we like?” Well, God knew this was coming. So He set the standard way back in Genesis. He made a suitable helper for Adam after realising that it’s not good for the man to be alone. But before that, something happened in Genesis 2:20. Read More…
