Wisdom is better than wealth. If you get divine wisdom, the riches, wealth and honour will follow. But if you chase after wealth without wisdom, you will get the money, but it won’t last because you won’t have the capacity to sustain it.
As a believer in Christ, let it be in your consciousness that God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Christ. Suppose you have learnt all the principles of wealth creation to the level that you are now enjoying enormous physical wealth in various areas of life, don’t forget that others are to benefit from you.
You may not see the Lord supply significant provisions in your life now. But don’t lose hope in Him. Keep following His ways and worry less about your life. He is with you and will never leave nor forsake you. In the midst of all the turmoil, stay faithful to His call. He will not put you to shame.
Instead of trusting in what you have to protect you, rest your hope in God. He is the only One who will ever be faithful to you, not another human being. He never fails. In fact, He is a reliable God. He will keep you from all harm and watch over your steps as you live to fulfil His will daily.
When the Bible says blessed is the one whose delight is in the law of the Lord, it means that God has not called you to sleep and wait for His manifestation of divine blessings. He is actually telling you to use the knowledge you’ve received in His Word to work.
You have what you have because God gave it or inspired others to give it to you. So, don’t let that thing make you proud. Exercise humility in relating to people regardless of their states of life. Remain humble under God’s mighty hand, so He will keep lifting you in glory.
Did you know that Jesus doesn’t measure your offering first by the size you give? Yes, He checks your heart first, not the size. But is giving vast amounts of money good? Of course, it is because it helps run several ministries. I have been a minister for over eight years (at the time of this writing), and I can’t overemphasise how important finance is in ministry.
Can I counsel you, dear team member of a company or ministry? If you have an attitude that will lead you to do bad things against your boss or senior pastor, it’s better you put it aside rather than follow through to jeopardise your life.
It takes wisdom, not just money, to build many things in life. Solomon knew this. So, when God asked him what he wanted, he didn’t tell God he wanted a long life or honour. Solomon asked for wisdom, got it, and got the other things he didn’t even request (see 2 Chronicles 1:10-12). That means wisdom is essential in life.
One of the most guaranteed ways of succeeding in life is to live upright before the Lord. He will guide your path and make you prosperous as you follow Him. You don’t have to do much to figure out what to do. Just step up in faith and follow God’s leading. He is with you.
When you develop a responsible mindset and attach it to work, you’ll soon realise there’s no need to take what you have not worked for or given freely by others. It is more of a blessing to give than to receive. In other words, it is more fulfilling to work and have enough, so much so that you can give unto others what you have in abundance.
Dear one, deal with heart corruption if you want to prosper wholly in your life. Otherwise, things won’t go well. Don’t be a lover of money so much that you ignore God and His Word in the name of chasing after wealth. Also, never trust in riches, but in God, who blesses people abundantly for them to enjoy and also be a blessing to others.
