Wealth Attracts Many Friends

[4] “Wealth attracts many friends, but even the closest friend of the poor person deserts them.” – Proverbs 19:4 (NIV)

While growing up as a little child, I used to hear many people saying that in society, rich people don’t always enjoy peace because of numerous financial requests that come to them. I didn’t have any evidence to believe such a saying. After all, it’s not scriptural. Right? There are many rich Christians all around the world who enjoy the peace of Christ in their lives. However, that one truth about wealthy people will always stand, and even Solomon admitted it. He said that wealth attracts many friends. Some of these friends may not always be in the “wealthy” category. That is why if they are too many, they can really worry about their wealthy friends.

As a believer in Christ, let it be in your consciousness that God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in Christ. Suppose you have learnt all the principles of wealth creation to the level that you are now enjoying enormous physical wealth in various areas of life, don’t forget that others are to benefit from you. Your wealth will attract many friends, especially if you have a large following on social media or a popular telephone number. Yes, you may not be able to attend to many people. For some, you may have to pay a little attention to them.

But despite all the busyness in the world, just have a dedicated time to help people. It may not be much but just do it. When you get to the top, don’t ignore the people who helped you when you had nothing. If you do that, you’d be ungrateful, and if something happens to you, such people may not even mind you. A word to the wise is enough!
