Let Your Light Shine Before Others
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14 that you, as a child of God, are the light of the world. That means that to deal with the darkness in the world, you, the light, ought to shine. Shining requires you to be intentional about witnessing Christ Jesus everywhere you go.
Are You Fit for Service in God’s Kingdom?
Jesus said in Luke 9:62 that anyone who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for service in God’s kingdom. That means that when a child of God conceives a desire to serve in the ministry but later abandons that desire or walks away, that person is disqualified for kingdom service. So let me ask, are you fit for service in God’s kingdom?
Growth Is a Necessity in the Child of God’s Life
As a parent, if God has blessed you with a child, He wants you to be faithful in caring for that child. And as a pastor, if God has blessed you with some of His sheep, be faithful to give them meaningful spiritual food. More importantly, as a child of God, don’t be over-reliant on others for your spiritual growth. Take utmost responsibility for it.
God’s Spiritual Gifts Are Not for Sale
Never mortgage God’s spiritual power in your life to anybody. Just use it to impact lives, and if they are blessed enough to appreciate you for what God has used you to help them in their lives, you can receive it willingly.
A Bribe Can Corrupt Your Good Heart
You cannot always get your way around things by giving bribes to people. On the other hand, if what you intend to do with the bribe fails, the one you bribed to help you will also get into trouble when caught. Can you remain bent on maintaining your integrity before God and not accept using shortcuts to get things done?
Money Can Afford You Life’s Comforts
You can have the comfortable life you desire when God lavishes you with wealth, but don’t let what you have have you. Use your possessions to fulfil God’s purposes, but always know that your identity is not in any of the things you have.
It Is God Who Gives the Power to Get Wealth
If He has told you to build a ministry, school, corporation or even a lovely godly family, you don’t only need prayer and wisdom; you need that power to get wealth because money will make it very easy to fulfil some of such prophecies.
You Are Not Useless Before God
Many people are abandoned by their families and friends. They are lonely in remote places but have big dreams to fulfil without knowing how that will happen. To such people, I want to tell them (including you reading this devotional) that they are not useless. You are too needed to be wasted before God.
The Deception of Pursuing Worldly Possessions Over Intimacy with God
If you are a Christian and you think your unbelieving companions, including the atheists, are getting more material possessions than you, don’t ever think you are late. You are not late. In fact, God is setting you up for a high elevation beyond what people think of you. Fret not! For God has got you well covered.
God Is the Joiner of Marital Unions
Do you live with both of your parents married for years? Or are some of your friends married? Don’t think what binds them together is that marriage certificate or the wedding ring they are wearing. It is God. And because of that, you are restricted from making them separate.
Do Not Forget the Word You Have Received
Do not think nothing will come against you when you are bent on retaining God’s Word in your heart. They will, but as you remember what God taught you, it will be easy to make the right choice anytime you encounter that situation.
