Be Willing to Associate with People of Low Position
Don’t compromise the standards of God’s Word. Be willing to associate with people of low positions to help them rise in the faith, not to lord over them, especially as a leader.
Honour One Another Above Yourselves
If everyone in Christ would choose to honour one another above ourselves, we won’t have issues praying against pride in our hearts.
Devote to One Another in Love
In Romans 12:10, it’s written that, as Christians, we must be devoted to one another in love. Translated word “devote” means affection. So we must be affectionate toward one another as an expression of the love of God. If that scripture starts with a “Be,” then devotion unto one another must be done with intentionality. And if it ends with “one another,” then that practice cuts across married couples to include others because “one another” connotes more than two people.
Love Must Be Sincere
If the Bible says, “hate what’s evil,” you’ve got to vehemently show red flags against the enemy’s gimmicks in your relationships with people. Hate unforgiveness. Hate lies. Be truthful and selfless because it doesn’t cost to love as God does; it pays.
Walk Continually in Love
Learn how to forgive people voluntarily with a willing heart. If you do this, many problems with people in your life will be solved, even without prayer.
Do Something Useful with Your Hands
Peter, for eternity, was called to be a preacher to the Jews. But he was a fisherman till Jesus showed up and turned him to be a fisher of men. Sometimes, it requires one man of vision to step up for God to use him to reorder lives. But should that not happen, or hasn’t yet happened, our hands must always be committed to doing something useful, whether purpose-related or not.
Be Kind and Compassionate to One Another
If Paul starts Ephesians 4:32 with the word “Be,” it means showing kindness and compassion as Christians must be a deliberate thing.
Do Not Use Your Freedom to Indulge the Flesh
You’re redeemed in Christ Jesus by His blood so that you’ll live the life you ought to – that life filled with good works which God foreordained for you to live in Christ (Ephesians 2:10). Good works don’t contain evil acts. No work of the flesh is part of the eternal life you’ve been given in Christ.
Do Not Grow Weary of Doing Good
We live in the last days. And according to Apostle Paul, one attitude of people in these times is ungratefulness (2 Timothy 3:3). Doing good with high expectations from receivers can end up disappointing you. Don’t set your own discouragement trap.
Do Not Become Conceited
Everybody’s race of faith is different, although purposes are connected. When you see someone moving forward, it doesn’t mean God has left you behind. Follow Jesus, and stop comparing your life with another person.
A Servant Isn’t Greater Than His Master
As a worker or a disciple to your leader, especially in a ministry or a workplace, you may have more requisite skills than your boss, leader or pastor in a specific area of life. That doesn’t mean you’re greater than him. In fact, you’re different with different skills, so you can contribute to the growth of the overall vision of the organisation, not take another person’s place.
Do You Love Jesus?
Loving God isn’t about doing things in His name. It’s about doing His Word. Jesus said that anyone who loves Him would obey His teaching (John 14:23). So once you hear the teachings of Christ and you obey them, it’s a love language you’re communicating to Jesus.
