Instead of Mary receiving the news and thinking about the “how” later, she probed further to understand God’s instruction by saying, “How will this be?…”. You have to do the same thing to get clarity about God’s promises.
All that the Magi (wise men) did was to pull resources together to honour Jesus, even as a little baby. Today, this principle hasn’t changed; in that, it’s better to fulfil a vision with a team than to do it alone.
Mary was betrothed to Joseph before the angel Gabriel came to tell her that Jesus would come to the Earth through her. To both of them, it was a heavy blow to their smooth marriage plans. However, to God, it was the fulfilment of prophecy. Learn to nurture God’s promises through faith and patience.
Jesus was born unto us as a child. But when He matured in stature, He was given unto us as a Son. That is why Jesus never began His ministry until He turned thirty.
Mary never expected to receive a news from an Angel that Jesus would come through her. When it’s time to step into a new season of your prophetic destiny, strange things begin to happen. Remember that life is in seasons.
No scripture says Mary went to pray for Joseph not to divorce her after telling him she was pregnant with Jesus by the Holy Spirit. But I believe she did it. Never cease praying for your partner or spouse. Always tell God to stabilise each others’ minds.
If the wise men had disobeyed God, baby Jesus would have been killed by Herod. The saviour of man wouldn’t have executed His divine mandate — that is, taking away the sin of the world (John 1:29). That also means there would be nothing like salvation, and people would have continued wallowing in sin worse than today. One simple obedience has collaborated to billions of people having access to salvation today and counting.

As we celebrate the birth of the prince of peace today, never forget that you are who you are because of Him. Enjoy yourself, and feast together as a family. But do everything to glorify Him. And as you move on with your life, always give Him the space to effect changes in Your life that’ll glorify the Father of lights.
Many people celebrate Christmas without discerning the reasons why Jesus came into the world. He didn’t come to be celebrated on Christmas holidays. He came with a mission – which is to revolutionalise this world to conform to the patterns of God.
Joseph was from the tribe of Judah. So if Mary had lost him, we wouldn’t have had any right to call Jesus the “Lion of Judah.” Can you discern your man well, virtuous woman? Don’t treat him like a jerk or a son. Love him, respect him and care deeply about his welfare because men rarely get even a little of this kind of treatment from women except for their mothers and sometimes sisters.
Joseph was a just man. He was faithful to the laws of God. And because of his integrity, he wanted to divorce Mary quietly after finding out she was pregnant through the Holy Spirit. What this would have meant is that Mary would be stoned to death and also accused of committing adultery since Joseph wasn’t the one who impregnated her. But God protects godly relationships from failing.
