[16] “And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. [17] Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.” – Luke 2:16-17 (NKJV)
When Jesus was born, there were no newspapers to broadcast it, and neither were there telephones. But heaven took this happening up and sent angels to the Earth to tell some people that Jesus was born. Today, with the rise of social media, websites, AI, and other tech advancements, people from diverse countries can know what’s happening in many areas around the world without moving an inch. They only need good phones and an internet connection.
One thing I loved about the shepherds when the angels made them know that Jesus was born was that they didn’t sit idle. Even though they were working (keeping their flock at night – something scarce and challenging to do), they left it and went together to visit the newly born Jesus. I suppose Mary would be shocked to see shepherds she never knew coming over for a visit in the manger.
Are you a busy Christian so used to work that you don’t take time to celebrate your miracle? Don’t live like that. We live in a busy world. So, no matter what you do, work will never end. The more you work, the more the work. Therefore, sometimes, take some time off the everyday routine to rest and celebrate God’s works in your life. It is well with you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your wondrous works in my life. Help me to live with a grateful heart that sees and cherishes what You do to keep us in step with purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
