Go beyond listening to sermons and reading Christian articles. Practice what you get ministered to via these spiritual resources. They’ll help you stay conscious of your identity in Christ, despite the pressures of compromise from the world.
God doesn’t want you to be a loser in the face of life’s issues. He has made you more than a conqueror in Christ (Romans 8:37). However, you’ve got to obtain divine wisdom to manifest this reality in eternal life, which is your possession.
If you spend whatever you have now on pleasures, you’ll not have your future needs in perspective. Don’t think like there’s no tomorrow. Be visionary and thoughtful. Think about how future generations will benefit from your choices today, and out of that understanding, take refuge by saving money and investing your time and resources wisely.
As long as this earth endures, nobody is exempted from facing life challenges. However, there are some attitudes you must develop in those seasons of life. Learn three of them in God’s Word today.
Before you say something, vet the thought that comes into your mind about it. Is it godly? Will it end up ministering grace to the other person or slander him? If you are careful to do this, you’ll keep your soul from troubles that emerge because of poor word choices.
Solomon was the wealthiest king in the Bible. And upon all his riches, he tells us that we shouldn’t love pleasure, wine and oil, else we’ll not be rich. If a rich person like Solomon is telling us this, then he’s probably showing us one of the secrets he used to manage his wealth so well, even till the point of death.
You may not have a land as a child of God, but you have provisions. You have a phone, shoes, team members to work with, etc. Think of the things in your room and workplace. They are goods. Till them. In other words, pray for God to empower you and give you ideas on ways to use what He has provided you to yield maximum results.
When you refresh others, you inturn refresh yourself because God has fashioned you not to live lonely like how islands exist. You must help others, as they also help you.
We’re in the last days, and people betray others so much for their personal benefits. But it doesn’t matter what the masses do. The question is, “are you trustworthy?” Can you keep secrets shared by a close friend to you without letting even another close friend hear about it?
Maybe you’re a skilled liar, a hypocrite or careless in speech. Just keep exposing yourself to God’s Word consistently. Your heart will be impacted; your mind will be filled with spiritual things, and eventually, the words you speak will be godly.
Who are you following in Christ? Are these mentors doing great things? If yes, I recommend that you follow them closely because seeing their works will expose you to an abundance mentality while having a reverential view of great Christian leaders.
